Austin SCHool of film amplify austin campaign

We recently styled the fundraising campaign for a local nonprofit organization, Austin School of Film. The organization created a short film in promotion of their campaign highlighting a local ATX donation drive called “Amplify Austin”. Inspired by 80’s - 90s telethons, the direction was bright, funky, and fun. We were overjoyed to help the creative vision of our favorite local nonprofit come alive.

brick by brick / raw paw

Brick by Brick is a collaborative project with our friends at Raw Paw. Oddballl curated a bright collection of vintage garments, and Raw Paw screen printed each item. Each piece was unique, and contained a small excerpt from a poem called “Brick by Brick” by Raw Paw founder, Chris Dock. Each garment served as a puzzle piece for the entire collection. This project was inspired by youth, color and community. A short film was also created for this project. To celebrate this collection, we had a community event filled with activities, an art installation and a photo gallery. Oddballl created the art installation entirely by hand (pictured above), composed of a painted cardboard TV with a functioning TV inside, as well as pedestals constructed entirely by hand and props from our vintage collection. The featured photos from this event were captured by Jinni J. Models: Ari Charalambous, Hannah Lasure, Talee Jones, River, Whitney Frederick, and Sherry.

Drakulas “forward fashion” music video

Oddballl styled wardrobe for a 30 person cast for the Drakulas “Fashion Forward” music video, directed by Vanessa Pla and produced by Cecilia Alejandra. Drakulas (whose lineup includes two members of the Riverboat Gamblers and Zach Blair of Rise Against and other bands), is a band from Austin. This psychedelic music video was inspired by the The Factory, Andy Warhol's New York City studio, which had three different locations between 1962 and 1984. The video was shot on 16mm film, and it features cameos from actor John Buseman (as the “occult press provocateur”), drag performer Hentai (as a partygoer), and comedian Ryan Cownie.

“Skipping Class” a 90s highschool themed photoshoot was featured in a print edition in Anon Magazine and followed by an article on their website. This editorial was styled and conceptualized by Oddballl Vintage, and photographed by Caitlin Rounds. 60S INSPIRED LOOKBOOK

This video lookbook takes a glimpse into 60s French fashion. On a lighthearted quest for romantic connection, actress Ariana Charalambous’ character features a wardrobe styled by Oddballl Vintage. Our vision was heavily inspired by Brigitte Bardot and other famous French style bombshells of the 1960s. The video took place in San Marcos, exploring various locations like the historical MLK neighborhood streets, the local Texas State University greenhouse and the gorgeous San Marcos river. Styled feature in a2i magazine

This colorful project was featured in the print edition of Aspire 2 Inspire. Modeled by Lindsay Gallagher and Rob Hogan, this photoshoot focused on complimentary colors and patterns. We adore the plaid-heavy fashion trends of the late 60s to early 70s, and wanted to debut two beautiful vintage jackets in our collection, while also showcasing the tender and romantic dynamic of Lindsay and Rob, a local Austin couple. This photoshoot was styled and art directed by Oddballl Vintage, and photographed by Alexis Gonzalez.

Y2K Fashion runway - styled by oddballl

For our first ever fashion debut, we took the runway for The Gay Agenda’s Y2K themed event. Oddballl styled a 7-person cast for this fashion show. Our team included local makeup artists, Jade Risa, Frank Chavarria Jr and Gina, as well as hair stylist team BEAUTYHOUSE.
